This Evony quick-start guide will get you past the growing pains of the game and into the fun more quickly!

If you don't follow this guide, it is easy to get stuck with no resources in Evony, especially in the beginning. No one likes to get stuck, neither in quicksand nor in Evony!

In one hour you will be a Lieutenant with 1400 prestige and four times your original resources (Step 47).

By Step 60 you will be a Knight with 2100 prestige and a lot of resources!

I think something is wrong!

09:03, 18 February 2011 (PST)

I started playing about a week ago and am still a civilian. I have lots of resources, all the buildings at various levels in the Town and 19 of all the types of buildings in the City, all at least at level 5. I have 600 workers, 350 Warriors, 300 Scouts and 250 Pikemen and Swordsmen. I am stuck on the UPGRADE HERO Quest. I have gone into the Hero Attributes screen and done the upgrade and comleted the quest. My next Quest is the same. I am not authorised to raise a question in the Help and Questions section of the forum and can't find out how to get it. Should I resign and start again, and if I should, how?

step 63 build second city

15:01, 24 March 2011 (PDT)

This is a GREAT article on quick start for a new player. I use it as an ice breaker to start mail conversations w players in protection or just out. But when I send it, I add 'STOP AT STEP 63 REPEAT DO NOT BUILD SECOND CITY'. You need a link to explain game theory of farming NPCs, need for alliance, etc. I have seen too many players take Step 63 too far, creating a farm fiels no one wants along w a dead player the system cannot flush (due to him having coin on the books). Step 63 should be a link to a seperate Title of 'Building New City' with steps 63 through 75 rernumbered. In its introduction the author can include links to full detail on topics of farm field design, groth of cities and need to have a few miles between them. And the danger of building on low lvl flats near a city you plan to farm from.

Lets Be Honest

  1. 1 - When you first begin the game you will need to sit in front of your computer for about 2 weeks, 15 hours a day min….(thank you Red Bull) and have about $100 to spend on game coins.
  1. 2 - Then after you build up your city and all of your recourses (and start getting excited about playing the game) you will log on and find all of your resources and troops have been plundered by someone wanting to clear the area where your city is..... That is ok you still have your city and a lot of knowledge.
  1. 3 - Ask your Alliance for a good spot to teleport to (hopefully near allies and lots of NPCs) so you can start over, because if you don’t the player that plundered you will not stop and it will be over.
  1. 4 - Troops matter... Period! So get your hero’s up, and farm level 10s.

It sucks to lose everything at the beginning but everyone does, don’t take it personal just look at it as a good butt kicking and lots of knowledge learned!

buildings and resources

03:36, 5 December 2011 (MST)

1. this guide will help keep your head above the water, just. 2. when recruiting heroes, try for a lvl 3 or 4 inn just to get one with a high enough politics rate to speed up builds. A lvl 1 or 2 hero with 20 pol isn't going to help much except to complete quests. 3. to complete your city, plan on one of each bldg, with the exception of 6 - 8 cottages, and Barracks in the rest of the spaces, upgraded to the necessary lvl's for recruiting. 4. and finally, you won't achieve top 100 player status in your first week unless you buy alot of game cents.
