In Evony, the compass technology has 10 levels and increases infantry moving speed, including worker, warrior, pikeman, and swordsman.

A compass, magnetic compass or mariner's compass is a navigational instrument for determining direction relative to the Earth's magnetic poles. It consists of a magnetized pointer (usually marked on the North end) free to align itself with Earth's magnetic field.The compass greatly improved the safety and efficiency of travel, especially ocean travel. • Level 1 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 2 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 3 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 4 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed, now 40% from base
• Level 5 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 6 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 7 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 8 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 9 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
• Level 10 allows a 10% enhancement of infantry moving speed
